Real suffered a shock defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk in their Champions League opener and can afford few further mistakes if they are to reach the knockout stages of the competition this season.
Los Blancos were forced to rest players against Shakhtar with manager Zinedine Zidane having one eye on their trip to the Camp Nou.
The French tactician won’t have that problem this week and Real are 10/11 to pick up the three points against a Gladbach side that have had an inconsistent start to the season.
Inter Can Sink Shakhtar
Elsewhere in Group B, Inter Milan will be looking for their first win of the Champions League campaign when they face Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Nerazzurri head to Ukraine on the back of a 2-0 win at Genoa in Serie A and manager Antonio Conte will be determined to see his side build up a winning run.
Inter were made to work for a 2-2 draw on home soil against Gladbach last time out but they should be able to secure a win on the road against a Shakhtar side that surely won’t be able to repeat the same standard of performance they produced against Real.
It won’t be straightforward, but Conte’s side are 5/6 to win on the road on Tuesday.
Juve Can Add to Barca’s Woes
All does not seem to be well in the Barcelona camp as they head to Serie A champions Juventus on Wednesday.
Ronald Koeman came into his dream job at the Camp Nou but had to deal with Lionel Messi’s attempted exit from the Blaugrana almost straight away, which has not helped his cause.
The Dutchman has looked to settle the squad but a 3-1 defeat to Real in his first El Clasico as manager certainly won’t have helped the pressure on his shoulders.
Things have been made even worse with Philippe Coutinho ruled out for the upcoming games with a hamstring injury.
Juventus will smell blood and with the Old Lady having earned a 2-0 win away at Dynamo Kiev in their Champions League opener, Andrea Pirlo’s side will fancy their chances of a scalp against Barca and are 33/20 for the win over the La Liga giants.
