The Randox Health Foxhunters’ Steeple Chase is unique among the annual Grand National meeting races in two respects. The first of these is directly related to the fact that this race is run during the Grand National meeting. This chase is one of only three races run over the Grand National fences. The other two are the Topham Chase and the Grand National itself.
The other respect in which the race stands out is simply this: the Randox Health Foxhunters’ Steeple Chase is intended for amateur hunters.

Randox Health Foxhunters’ Steeplechase: Tips, Predictions and Previews
Billaway was agonisingly denied at Cheltenham and should make a strong compensation claim over this shorter trip. Paul Nicholls has two fine contenders to take him on in Samtegal and CAT TIGER. Last month’s Leicester winner could be the one to upstage the Irish horse this time. Ex-Ditcheat inmate Captain Cattistock ran well on first start for Fergal O’Brien in February and, down in trip, could leave behind a less showing since at Doncaster. He’s a big enough price for each-way purposes.
Selection: Cat Tiger @ 9/2
