Two teams with wins from their opening two matches clash on Sunday, as the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams meet in New York State.
The Bills have surprised many with their offensive success in the first couple of weeks, with quarterback Josh Allen linking up well with wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Josh Brown.
Allen threw for over 400 yards and four touchdowns against Miami last week, although time will tell how impressive Buffalo’s two wins were, over the Dolphins and the Jets.
The meeting with the Rams – who are 11/10 to win – will test just how far the Bills have come, with LA having put more impressive victories together. Sean McVay’s men have seen off Dallas Cowboys (20-17) and then Philadelphia Eagles (19-37) in Week 2.
The Rams defence stopped Carson Wentz throwing a touchdown last week and caught two interceptions, while offensively some of the pressure has been taken off Jared Goff with their new three-pronged running-back attack.
Newton Signs Bode Well for Patriots
Another 100 per cent start could go on Sunday, as the Las Vegas Raiders face the tough test of taking on six-time SuperBowl winners New England Patriots.
The Patriots are 5/13 to get back to winning ways, after losing a high-scoring shootout with Seattle last week, going down 35-30
On home soil, the new-look New England are likely to prove too strong, especially with the good signs Cam Newton showed against the Seahawks – throwing for 397 yards.
Tight end Darren Waller (8/5 to score a TD at anytime) looks one to watch though for the Raiders, after he made 12 receptions and scored a touchdown in the 34-24 over the Saints in Week 2.
Texans Face Steelers Defensive Might
The Pittsburgh Steelers have won their opening two games, scoring 26 points in both matches against New York Giants and Denver Broncos.
In Week 3, Mike Tomlin’s men face 0-2 Houston Texans with their defence looking in ominous form going into the clash at Heinz Field and are 5/11 to win again on Sunday.
The Steelers made no fewer than seven sacks against the Broncos last week and they come up a Texan’s team that saw their QB Deshaun Watson sacked four times in the 16-33 defeat to Baltimore.
‘Big Ben’ Roethlisberger may be now 38, but he still has one of the best arms in the NFL and the Steelers offensive line have kept him well protected in the first two games.
Bears Can Capitalise on Falcons Frailty
Finally, there looks to be good value in the Chicago Bears going 3-0 with a victory over Atlanta Falcons – with the Bears 6/4 to win for a third straight game.
The Bears have battled to wins over Detroit Lions and New York Giants and now face a Falcons team that have lost their opening two matches, throwing away the W against Dallas Cowboys last week.
The two teams are more closely matched than recent results would suggest, but the expected absence of Falcons star wide receiver Julio Jones could prove a big factor here.
Bears Quarterback Mitch Trubisky has thrown for five touchdowns in the first two weeks and is 5/6 to throw over 247.5 passing yards in Week 3.
