Everything was on the line on Sunday and after years of hurt and some huge gambles, the Los Angeles Rams got their hands on another Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Sean McVay’s side, 10/1 to win the Super Bowl again in 2023, ran out 23-20 winners at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, as they made home advantage count and battled past the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.
After losing Super Bowl LIII to the New England Patriots, the Rams were able to celebrate this time around, as their star-studded roster came up trumps as they had hoped.
We take a look at the key moments in the game as the Rams won their second Super Bowl and their first since 1999.

Record-Breaking Kupp Shines Again
Rams wide receiver Kupp was voted the MVP for Super Bowl LVI after scoring two touchdowns in Inglewood.
Kupp’s campaign was nothing short of remarkable, as he led the NFL in receptions, yards and touchdowns.
When it looked like the Rams were in trouble, he led them up the field with some vital receptions, before scoring the final touchdown of the game.
Stafford Finally Gets His Moment
Rams QB Matthew Stafford spent seasons with the Detroit Lions before the Rams traded for him.
They gave up Jared Goff and three early draft picks for Stafford, and despite the fact he had never won a play-off game, he led his team all the way to Super Bowl glory.
Stafford was sacked a couple of times during the early stages of the game, but he settled down and guided his team home, even without the injured Odell Beckham Jr.
Defensive Line Steers the Rams Home
Bengals QB Joe Burrow had been sacked more than any other quarterback in the NFL last season, but he still managed to guide his team into the Super Bowl.
The Bengals’ luck soon ran out, though, as Aaron Donald finally got his hands on a Super Bowl ring, eight years after the Rams drafted him.
Von Miller was also instrumental in the Rams’ success, and he won his second Super Bowl, with both he and Donald sacking Burrow on Sunday evening.
Injured Odell Played His Part
The decision to sign Odell Beckham Jr in November caught many by surprise, but the Rams had the last laugh at the weekend.
His six touchdowns in 11 games got the Rams to the Super Bowl, and he made a flying start on Sunday, scoring the first TD of the match.
The former New York Giant had already received for over 50 yards when he suffered a knee injury in the second quarter.
The Rams have yet to confirm the severity of that injury, but he was still able to celebrate his first Super Bowl success, and without his explosive introduction, McVay’s men might not have got their hands on the trophy.
