Even though Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition (10-5) and Team GamerLegion (12-3) are the two favourites to claim the Prime League Pro 2020 Summer trophy, both have had their slip-ups this split.
Unicorns of Love are 2-2 from their last four games, which includes losses against FC Schalke 04 Evolution and BIG. GamerLegion, meanwhile, are 3-1 from their last four with wins against mYisanity, BIG and OP innogy eSport, and one loss against mousesports.
UoL have been struggling since they parted ways with Felix “Kryze” Hellstrom, who left to play in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) with Excel Esports. While they managed to bring in a replacement player in Kallon “Kerberos” Ram, he has failed to fill the Swede’s shoes.
This could be a problem since GamerLegion field one of the best top laners in the league in Christian “Phones” Sieg. Unicorns of Love are also at a disadvantage in the jungle, where Muhammed “Agurin” Kocak can hardly compare to GamerLegion’s Jochem “Rabble” van Graafeiland.
The odds on GamerLegion are a bit high, likely because they are already guaranteed a playoffs berth and don’t necessarily need to win here. Still, that is not a good enough reason for us to side with the underdogs, especially after UoL’s humiliating loss to BIG last Thursday.

BIG’s performances this split have been anything but inspiring. Five of their six wins came from the early stages of the split, meaning they enter this bout with a 1-6 record from their last seven games.
On a more positive note, BIG defeated Unicorns of Love SE last Thursday and fought well in the early stages against Team GamerLegion. While they lack strong macro play and a genuine carry player, it’s hard to ignore Louis “Bean” Schmit’s improved performances across the last couple of weeks.
Ad hoc gaming are deserving favourites for this contest, but consistency is not their strong suit. They lost their most recent two bouts against mYinsanity and mousesports, which suggests neither their form nor morale is at the level needed to hold off the surging BIG.

FC Schalke 04 Evolution have not looked as dominant as they did when winning the Prime League Pro Division 2020 Spring title, yet their 9-6 record puts them
well and truly in the playoff picture.
Most of Schalke’s struggles are a result of constant roster swaps with their LEC team, although that means almost every player in the Evolution squad now has top-flight experience.
Consistency is the big issue for Schalke, who enter the final week of the Prime League Summer regular season with a 2-2 record from their last four fixtures. While they defeated Unicorns of Love SE and SK Prime, they slipped against ad hoc gaming and EURONICS Gaming.
Speaking of inconsistency, no team has produced more volatile results than OP innogy eSport. After a 5-0 run, Marc “Canee” Behrend and co. have hit a slump and lost three of their last four games. They managed to defeat BIG, but their clashes with SK Prime, EURONICS Gaming and Team GamerLegion all ended in losses.
It’s worth noting that OP innogy eSport managed to play at the same tempo as GamerLegion but were completely outclassed in objective control. That will be a problem against Schalke, who are a very objective-centric team.
FC Schalke 04 Evolution are the most likely victors, but since OP innogy eSport are a very aggressive team, betting on the underdogs to cover the kill handicap offers more value than the head-to-head market.
