KevMac previews Saturday’s matches in the Premier League and reckons Man City’s early match with the Hammers could be a bit tighter than the odds suggest.
Manchester City v West Ham
Manchester City look unstoppable right now and the Premier League leaders will look to rack up a 20th win on the spin against West Ham today.
Pep Guardiola’s men strolled to a 2-0 win over Monchengladbach in the Champions League on Wednesday, keeping them on track for a Quadruple.
They look far too strong for pretty much most teams in Europe at the moment and should keep the winning run going when they host the Hammers.
City are McBookie’s 2/9 hot favourites with David Moyes’ men as big as 13/1 for a win with SBK.
A home win to nil will be a popular bet as City have kept clean sheets in four of their last five games and it pays 20/21 at McBookie.
The odds are better for under 2.5 goals at 8/5 with Unibet and that could come up as West Ham are hard to break down.
They drew 1-1 with City at home earlier this season and are always organised under Moyes.
Leeds United v Aston Villa
Aston Villa let me down last weekend when I tipped them to beat Leicester and that mainly down to missing talisman Jack Grealish.
His creative spark was a huge loss and they Villa now face a tough trip to Leeds.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men have been inconsistent, winning four and losing three of their last seven, but impressed on Tuesday as they beat Southampton 3-0.
Leeds are a best 24/19 with SBK to see off Villa while both teams to score is 10/17 with the same firm. That’s always worth a punt with Bielsa’s teams being so open but it’s not great value.
Doubling it with over 2.5 goals in a McBookie bet builder increased the odds to 75/100.
Newcastle v Wolves
There’s a crunch clash for Newcastle tonight as they host Wolves looking to ease their relegation fears.
Fulham are now just three points behind the Magpies so Steve Bruce desperately needs a win.
The score has been level at half-time in six of Wolves’ last seven games so it could pay to back a repeat here at 21/20 with SportNation.
Crystal Palace v Fulham
Fulham visit Crystal Palace tomorrow and Scott Parker’s side appeal for a win at 13/10 (Unibet).
Palace beat Brighton last time out to end their slump but were outplayed for most of the game and look poor with injured Wilf Zaha.
The game of the weekend down south sees Chelsea host Manchester United tomorrow looking to stay unbeaten under new boss Thomas Tuchel.
The Blues have shipped just two goals in eight games under the Germans so it should be tight.
Under 2.5 goals pays 17/20 at McBookie while betting against both teams to score is better value at 6/5 with BetVictor.
Championship Tips
In the lower leagues I’m going for a double on in-form Sunderland and Barnsley, which pays just under 4/1 at SBK.
I also fancy BTTS in Bournemouth v Watford at 10/11 with SportNation.
Super Singles
BTTS Double
- Leeds v Villa and Bournemouth v Watford (168/100, McBookie)
