There are another four big Premier League games across Sunday afternoon which, in particular, could have a big impact on the battle for European places.
The game of the day sees London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur go head-to-head at Stamford Bridge (16:30), as Antonio Conte looks to pile more pressure on his former club.
A victory for Tottenham can move them to within five points of their opponents and still having four games in hand on the Blues.
Home Providing No Comforts for Tuchel
These two teams will meet for the third time in three weeks, after Chelsea defeated Spurs over two legs to reach the final of the Carabao Cup.
There was no doubt the Blues were the better side across those semi-final meetings but around those two matches, Thomas Tuchel’s men have failed to win any of their last four Premier League games, which has seen them fall further off the pace in the title race.
Another major concern for the Blues is their home form, having drawn five and won one of their last six league games at Stamford Bridge. In contrast, Spurs are unbeaten in nine in the league since Conte took charge.
There’s no hiding the fact that Tottenham’s record at the Bridge is poor, with just one league win since 1990 at Chelsea, but they did claim a draw last season and if anyone is capable of leading a visiting team to gain a positive result, it’s Conte.
Spurs are 19/5 to collect a victory, a Tottenham Double-Chance bet is available at 6/5 while Chelsea are 20/29 to claim another win over their rivals.
Gunners Can Bounce Back With Burnley Win
After a disappointing League Cup performance against Liverpool in midweek, Arsenal have a quick opportunity to get back to winning ways in the league.
Mikel Arteta’s men have got themselves into the top six in the table, after just one defeat in their last five Premier League games.
With so many teams in the fight for Europe, they can’t afford a slip up at home to Burnley (14:00), who are currently sat bottom of the table, so it’s no surprise to see Arsenal at 20/59 to claim a victory.
The Gunners though will be without two key midfielders with Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka both suspended, while Nicolas Pepe and Mohamed Elneny are still at the Africa Nations Cup.
Burnley have Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Dwight McNeil back after Covid, but still need to find a solution up front after Chris Wood’s recent move to Newcastle.
The Clarets have only won one of their last 17 meetings with Arsenal, with that success coming in this fixture last season. As ever, they will look to make life difficult and the Gunners might have to accept a narrow victory.
Reds Face Stiff Palace Test
Liverpool look to be the only team now that can stop Manchester City winning the Premier League title this season, with another trip to the capital now awaiting Jurgen Klopp’s men.
After reaching the Carabao Cup final in midweek with victory at Arsenal, the Reds head back to London to take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park (14:00), a ground at which they won 0-7 last season.
In fact, the Merseysiders have won on their last seven trips to Palace and are 1/2 to collect another victory, while Palace are 5/1 and the draw can be backed at 10/3.
Leicester and Brighton Set for Share of the Spoils
Just four points separate the two teams going into the 14:00 kick off at the King Power Stadium, as Leicester and Brighton meet for the third time this season.
Brighton won the league game at the Amex 2-1, before a tight affair in the League Cup when the Foxes won on penalties after a 2-2 draw in normal time.
Graham Potter’s men are unbeaten in their last five on the road, with three of those ending level, and the Seagulls have the most draws in the top flight this season with 11.
Another draw on Sunday is available at 12/5, while another 2-2 Correct Score scoreline can be backed at 39/4.
