It’s another marvellous Monday at Plumpton and you can watch all six races (1.50pm-4.45pm) via live streaming when logged into MansionBet, along with every race from the UK and Ireland.
Racing Post tipster Graeme Rodway previews Monday’s action at Plumpton exclusively for MansionBet.
1.50 – R.A.B.I Helping Farming People Maiden Hurdle
This looks between Baddesley, High Tech and Saligo Bay and it’s tough to choose between them. Narrow preference is for High Tech, who has finished second on both outings over hurdles and just has the edge on Racing Post Ratings.
He was useful on the Flat in France and kept on well when behind the promising Swinging London at Fakenham on his latest outing.
Selection: High Tech @ 3/1
2.25 – Howden Sport And Equine Insurance Conditional Jockeys Handicap Chase
Chris Gordon and Jack Tudor enjoyed plenty of success at Kempton on Saturday. Gordon won the Dovecote with Aucunrisque and Tudor was on big winner Cap Du Nord.
They team up with Mellow Ben, who ran well when third at Kempton last month and the winner of that, Flegmatik, franked the form by scoring at Kempton on Saturday. That might be good enough.
Selection: Mellow Ben @ 3/1
3.00 – Global Herbs Supporting Equine Athletes Handicap Hurdle
An open handicap hurdle that could go to Good News. The course-and-distance winner is only 2lb higher than for that victory and he shaped well when third on his return from a break at Fontwell last month over an inadequate 2m51/2f.
That form was franked when the winner won again next time and Good News should improve for the run now he is back up in trip.
Selection: Good News @ 4/1
3.35 – R.A.B.I / Joan Collison Memorial Handicap Chase
Nobody has trained more winners at Plumpton this season than Gary Moore and it’s rare for a meeting to pass at the track without the local trainer registering at least one.
Flaminger has dropped to 17lb lower than when last successful and the course winner appeared to be on his way back to form when second over course and distance last time. He can build on that effort.
Selection: Flaminger @ 4/1
4.10 – Visit Irish Store Sales With ITM Mares’ Handicap Hurdle
This could be another one for Moore because Ruby Yeats appears to have a huge chance. The course-and-distance winner has dropped to a mark 16lb lower than when last successful and ran one of her best races this season when third on good going at this track in December.
She has probably found testing conditions against her recently and better ground should suit.
Selection: Ruby Yeats @ 7/1
4.45 – Sky Sports Racing Open National Hunt Flat Race
A tough race to finish and punters have to decide whether to go with form or potential. It might have been worth siding with form this time, because Ebonello shaped well when third on her debut in a bumper at Ludlow last month, however, she is now a non-runner.
That leaves a pretty open field, but the Philip Hobbs charge Mistral Lady just gets the nod thanks to her pedigree and receiving all her allowances.
Selection: Mistral Lady @ 9/4
