MansionBet are once more thrilled to be sponsoring all seven races on the Colwick Park card.

1:25 – Betstival Season At MansionBet EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (5f)
Dark Tulip has had more goes than these rivals but does set the standard, while newcomer Rufaafa makes solid enough appeal on paper for top connections ahead of this debut run. However, Owen Burrows’ MEREDIF was popular in the betting before her debut at Wolverhampton in May and was running a promising race prior to almost slipping on the home bend on a sodden Tapeta track. Kieran Shoemark looked after her in the home straight and better is expected with Jason Watson up now after a short break.
Selection: Meredif @ SP
2:00 – MansionBet Summer Of Lovely Offers Nursery (6f)
An opening mark of 70 may be within range for Richard Hannon’s DESERT. She shaped with promise in a couple of Newmarket maidens over 6f before improving when outrunning odds of 80/1 to be beaten around four-lengths in the Newbury Super Sprint recently. Sights are lowered now and with Thore Hammer-Hansen taking 3lb off, she’s got strong claims.
Selection: Desert @ SP
2:35 – Mansionbet Betstival Beaten By A Head Ebf Maiden Stakes (6f)
Touchwood has twice gone close in three runs this season – with excuses at Catterick on heavy ground in between – he is though 0-8 at this point and perhaps will be vulnerable again. Similar sentiments apply to General Sago and so GOLD WING is the choice. Saeed bin Suroor’s daughter of Golden Horn was third in a Newcastle novice on return from a year off (only second start) in June and the front pair have advertised that form positively since. She can go well under Josephine Gordon.
Selection: Gold Wing @ SP
3:10 – Mansionbet Betstival Bet 10 Get 20 Novice Median Auction Stakes (1m½f)
West Side Glory and Halcyon Spirit both took second-best last time and will have aims of better but David O’Meara will feel confident that IMPERIAL EIGHT can better her debut second at Hamilton a fortnight ago. She was well clear of the chasing pack in following home odds-on jolly Gainsbourg up in Scotland and, allowing for normal first-to-second run improvement, the Lawman filly can be tough to crack here under Jason Watson.
Selection: Imperial Eight @ SP
3:45 – Mansionbet Proud To Support British Racing Handicap (1m½f)
ROMAN MIST won over C&D in April on quick ground and has been unfortunate lately to run into stylish winners at Lingfield and Chepstow. Tom Ward’s filly has Richard Kingscote on board here and that previous course form is worth investing in. Dartington went close at Leicester this month after 11 months off and is a danger, as is eight-race maiden Prize Fighting for Clive Cox having run well here recently despite being hampered. That was in a stronger grade too, he’s in the mix in first-time headgear.
Selection: Roman Mist @ SP
4:20 – Mansionbet Betstival Extra Places Handicap (1m2½f)
It has all clicked nicely into gear for MIRAMICHI in recent times and Tom Dascombe’s 3YO is seeking a four-timer after wins at Haydock (twice) and Newbury over the last month – each at around this distance. He fluffed the start last time at Newbury but still won as he liked and it’s not hard to imagine he will defy a 6lb penalty despite this slight rise in class.
Selection: Miramichi @ SP
4:55 – Follow MansionBet This Betstival Season Handicap (2m)
The marathon to round things off. SELSEY SIZZLER ran a good race in better company at Pontefract in June over 2m2f and his prominent style of racing is sure to be an asset around here. He’s off the same mark dropping into Class 6 company and this may prove a fine bit of placement from trainer David Menuisier – who boasts three winners from just nine runners recently including the well-backed favourite in the opening race at Glorious Goodwood this week.
Selection: Selsey Sizzler @ SP
