There’s no let-up in the Premier League’s rip-roaring rearranged schedule and there are ten games to look forward to over the next weekend.
Things get underway on Saturday at 12:30 when Norwich host Brighton and run through until Monday when Tottenham take on Everton in N17.
Seagulls Ready to Soar in Norfolk
After romping to promotion last term, bottom club Norwich have struggled to adapt to the rigours of the top flight and head into the weekend seven points from safety after being thumped 4-0 at Arsenal.
Brighton are 15th but even after their 3-0 midweek home defeat to Manchester United, Graham Potter appeared to retain confidence in his troops having taken four points from their previous two matches.
The Seagulls won 2-0 when the two sides met earlier in the campaign and have drawn their last four on the road, the two most recent of those being goalless.
With Norwich failing to score in three of their last four at home, this could be a cagey game that looks set up for under 2.5 goals at 10/13*, while the away win to zero is 9/4.
Wolves Really Up and Running
Of Saturday’s other games, there could be real value in the 5/4 for Wolves to beat Arsenal at Molineux in the 17:30 game.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have won their three games since the season’s return to zero and sit sixth, level on points with fifth-placed Manchester United.
With the Red Devils expected to romp past Bournemouth earlier in the day, Wolves need to respond and have a good record against the Gunners, avoiding defeat in all three of their meetings since returning to the top flight in 2018.
Mikel Arteta seems to be building some solid foundations for his team but they are far from the finished article and expect Wolves to target their weaknesses, with a header to be the method of scoring the first goal at 19/5.
City Can Slam the Saints
They may not have won the Premier League this season but Manchester City put on a real exhibition in bashing champions Liverpool 4-0 on Thursday.
While they lost to Chelsea in their previous league game, the Citizens look to be revving up for a run at the Champions League and on Sunday face a Southampton team with the worst home record in the Premier League.
In fairness to the Saints, they have won twice since the restart. However, both of those victories were on the road, although they do have a habit of scoring against Sunday’s visitors.
City have won the last four meetings with both teams scoring, an offer priced at 31/20, while an away win with over 3.5 goals in the game is 17/10.
Another Sticky Night for Spurs Against the Toffees?
What do we make of Tottenham under Jose Mourinho? On Wednesday he said his squad only needed slight adjustments, before writing his players off and slamming their attitude after Thursday’s 3-1 defeat at Sheffield United.
Everton, in contrast, overcame third-placed Leicester 2-1 and are unbeaten since the restart, and Carlo Ancelotti is doing an excellent job of simplifying things for a group of players who frankly, looked confused, under Marco Silva.
The Toffees have not won away against Spurs since 2008 but are extremely tempting at 49/20.
