Week 13 of the season is here and after gifting us all teams playing for Thanksgiving weekend, the NFL has to catch up with 6 teams on bye this week meaning we’ve got a condensed schedule, especially in the late games over here with only 3 taking place. That does mean you’ll catch most of every game on Redzone though, which is always good.
The Broncos and Texans headline the early slate and are rightfully the early Sky game, that one should be fun with Russell Wilson taking his team to 5 wins in a row and the 1/20 for OROY CJ Stroud possibly taking the Texans to the playoffs come the end of the season, a win here would help them immensely.
The evening slate sees a rematch of the NFC Championship game last year as the 49ers travel to Phillie to take on the Eagles. The 49ers are road favourites with a fully healthy teams and coming off of extended rest. On paper it definitely makes sense to have them as faves but I can’t back against the Eagles at home as no matter how they’ve struggled recently they have been grinding out the wins as they did in OT against the Bills last weekend.
Best Spread; Chargers -5 @ Patriots
I know, I know, it’s the Chargers but even they, surely, can’t fail to comfortably beat a Bailey Zappe and Malik Cunningham led Patriots team who look set for a top 3 pick in next years draft?! Surely?!
The Chargers have been hit with injuries all year which has hurt their offense but should have Joshua Palmer and Gerald Everett back for this one to allow them to target someone other than Keenan Allen in the passing game. Justin Herbert has been playing well despite the lack of weapons so I’m confident he can move the ball against this team.
They could do with Austin Ekeler getting some form back and converting some of their redzone chances but it should only take 20 points to cover the 5-point spread here and I think they can get to that.
Best Total; Lions @ Saints U47
The Lions started the season on fire but have been stuttering in recent weeks, their defense has dropped off significantly in recent weeks but the Saints are unable to convert in the redzone and they are without a couple of their pass-catchers here so that numbs them even more.
The Lions offense hasn’t been as dominant in recent weeks either with Jared Goff putting together a few horrible games which may lead them to running the ball more and eating up more clock with their talented duo of RBs.
Best TD Scorer; Zack Moss – 10/11 (Bet365)
The Colts go to their divisional rival Tennesee Titans without Jonathan Taylor who will miss a couple of weeks with a thumb issue so that means they’re back to Zack Moss on the ground, who had nearly 200 yards and 2 TDs against them earlier in the season, so I’m backing him to find the endzone once more against a Titans team who look like they’ll be finishing bottom of their division.
I do like Kyren Williams again, he’s around even money once more against the Browns, and for a bigger price, Desmond Ridder to run one in at 6/1 (Betfair) for the Falcons against the Jets.
Best Player Prop; Pat Friermuth o34.5 (WilliamHill)
The Steelers finally got rid of their offensive co-ordinator last week and immediately put up 400+ yards on offense for the first time since 2020, while I think a lot of that was due to facing a terrible Bengals defense, it did look like they had confidence for the first time in a while and Muth did his best Travis Kelce impression by running a yard past the 1st down stopping, turning and catching the ball. It worked well for them last week where he had over 100 yards, so I think they’ll do the same this week against a poor Cardinals defense.
I like Curtis Samuel and Rachaad White to both go over their 3.5 reception lines for the Commanders and Buccs respectively and Juwan Johnson is still at 2.5 receptions for a beaten up Saints offense which looks well priced as well.
Enjoy the games tonight, hopefully get some winners!
