Week 9 was one of the wildest and strangest weeks of the 2021 season so far. There were a ton of matchups that went the complete opposite of how everybody expected them to go, especially for a team that we will be talking about in just a second. Week 10 has the potential to right those wrongs and get everything back on track, it should be another fun week of football.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Washington Football Team
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got a bye week to recover from their devastating loss to the New Orleans Saints. They should be coming into this matchup healthy and prepared to get back on the right track, and what better time to do so then against a bad Washington Football Team? Tom Brady certainly won’t be turning the ball over three times in this game, and these offensive playmakers can only be held in check for so long. Plus, their defense will be a lot more disciplined to lock up the Washington offense. On the other side, Washington has had horrible defensive luck and just hasn’t played up to the standards that people expected earlier in the year. Terry McLaurin is phenomenal, but outside of him this offense hasn’t been consistent. I think that Tampa Bay easily wins this game and Brady throws for over 300 yards in his return to the field in order to make a big statement.
Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets
How in the world did the Buffalo Bills lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars? It was a confusing week for all as we mentioned earlier but Buffalo was probably the biggest head scratcher of Week 9. Luckily, a game that bad only comes around once a year for strong teams. Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs and company will look to get back on track against arguably the worst team in the league, the New York Jets. The Jets have looked better with Mike White starting, but he suffered an injury early on in the Thursday Night game that held him out for the rest of the contest. With his status up in the air and Buffalo boasting an elite defense looking for a huge bounce back win, they should be able to crush them. I see Allen throwing three touchdown passes and this defense clamping the Jets to ten or less points in this game.
Carolina Panthers @ Arizona Cardinals
The Carolina Panthers were once again disappointing during their loss to the New England Patriots. Despite getting Christian McCaffrey back from his injury this offense was still mediocre at best. Sam Darnold has struggled mightily, and their offensive line isn’t doing him any favours. Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals were without Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins and were able to dominate the San Francisco 49ers anyways. This is a stacked Arizona team, one that many teams should be scared of. With those two superstars coming back to the line-up and Carolina freefalling down the rankings, I wouldn’t be surprised if Arizona wins by double digits. I could also see James Connor adding another touchdown to his strong season, he seems to swipe any goal line touches.
