Cleveland’s First Energy Stadium is the venue for Thursday’s big NFL clash, when two teams sat on 3-3 collide as we head into Week Seven.
The Browns go into this clash having lost their last two games and conceded 84 points combined against the Chargers and the Cardinals.
After winning their first three, Denver Broncos have since lost their last three but this is a big chance for Vic Fangio’s men to get their season back on track.
Browns Hit Hard by Injuries
Cleveland will be without first-choice QB Baker Mayfield, who injured his shoulder against Arizona last week, with the pressure now moving on to the shoulders of his back up.
Case Keenum has nine years NFL experience but, as he prepares to face one of his former teams, has only made two appearances for the Browns since his move in 2020.
Keenum – 5/1 to score a touchdown at anytime on Thursday – could do with all the offensive armoury at his disposal, but that is not the case as the injury list continues to mount up for Cleveland.
The Browns are without running-back duo Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb, as both are currently sidelined with calf injuries. Add to that the fact there are doubts over three other key players – wide receiver Odell Beckham Jnr and defensive tackles Jack Conklin and Jedrick Wills Jnr, and they face an uncertain night ahead in Ohio.
That’s why the Browns have drifted in the Match Result market to 10/13 and they may need to rely heavily on their defense if they are to take the W.
One standout figure who is set to start is Myles Garrett, with the Browns’ Defensive End toping the NFL stats for sacks, after recording eight in the opening six weeks. The 2017 First Round draft pick is 1/2 to pick up Over 1.5 tackles against the Broncos.
Broncos Out to Bridge AFC West Gap
Denver may have lost their last three games, but they have finished their last two matches strongly and that could prove significant if this is as tight as expected.
The Broncos scored 14 fourth-quarter points in defeat to the Raiders last week and racked up 13 points in the final quarter against Pittsburgh in Week Five.
With AFC rivals the Chargers and Raiders on 4-2 records, this clash could be significant for Denver’s play-off hopes – a defeat may leave them with too much to do.
Teddy Bridgewater threw for over 330 yards and three touchdowns last week, but he was picked off on three occasions and he is also battling injury.
The 28-year-old suffered a quad injury last week but is still expected to start at the Dawg Pound, which will look to provide its usual intimidating atmosphere for the visiting team.
Wide receiver Courtland Sutton has scored touchdowns in the last two games and is 2/1 to score at anytime on Thursday night.
Another key figure for the Broncos will be the Kareem Jackson, with the Safety claiming his first sack of the season in the defeat to the Raiders and he is 5/8 to register Over 3.5 Tackles.
