3.15 – Play Coral Racing-Super-Series For Free Novice Stakes (1m2f)
Debutant Master Sergeant is obviously one to note for John & Thady Gosden. He is a Shamardal colt with winners in his pedigree and the yard tend to do well with runners at this venue. Interestingly, they also send out 185,000 gns newcomer Tattered Flag. POLYPHONIC probably did too much in front when finishing fourth over a mile on debut here this month and Karl Burke’s son of Sea The Stars should be wiser for that outing.
Selection: Polyphonic @ 11/4
3.50 – Watch Racing Free Online At Coral Nursery (7f)
Copper Mountain won at Chelmsford over this trip last time out and will now bid to reverse previous form here with Dajarus, who didn’t get home when upped to a mile here four weeks ago. STORM ASSET was second behind Copper Mountain in that Chelmsford contest 19 days ago and, now 5lb better off, might be able to reverse the placings.
Selection: Storm Asset @ 4/1
4.20 – Coral Proud To Support British Racing EBF Novice Stakes Division 1 (7f)
This looks a match between Velazquez and QUICK CHANGE. The former has run well in two of four starts on turf for the Gosdens but Karl Burke’s filly is preferred. She has been second in both starts thus far, including over 1m1½f at Wolverhampton this month when she was guilty of being too keen early on. If she handles this shorter trip, she has a good chance of going one better.
Selection: Quick Change @ 13/8
4.50 – Coral Proud To Support British Racing EBF Novice Stakes Division 2 (7f)
AL QARAM shouldn’t be waiting long to get on the scoresheet for the Karl Burke team. The Awtaad colt was second over this trip on debut at Kempton and then finished a close-up fourth back there over a mile this month in what looked a better race than this one. He may not need to improve to score.
Selection: Al Qaram @ 4/5
5.20 – MansionBet Proud Partners Of AWC Handicap (1m)
Tefnut is starting to knock on the door, with runner-up efforts on her last two runs over C&D and the American Pharoah filly should soon get her reward. LOCAL BAY made a winning start for David O’Meara over this C&D at the start of the month and the ex-Irish performer probably wasn’t helped by a dawdling pace when disappointing (third) since at Wolverhampton. Dropping in trip and a more even pace should see him rebounding.
Selection: Local Bay @ 9/4
5.50 – MansionBet Beaten By A Head Novice Stakes (1m)
Peintre d’Etoiles is starting to look frustrating but has the ability to win a race of this ilk for Ed Walker. WHITE WILLOW was third over C&D on debut a fortnight ago and that really looked like a learning on the job outing for the daughter of New Bay. If she has indeed taken some lessons from it, she shouldn’t be far away in this contest.
Selection: White Willow @ 2/1
6.20 – MansionBet Beaten By A Head Handicap (7f)
TIE A YELLOWRIBBON typically races on the pace or close to it and the mare was entitled to need her outing on stable debut for Alice Haynes when she faded late on over a mile here recently. The hood she wore then is absent now and, just 2lb off her last win-mark, she may be suited by this drop back to 7f.
Selection: Tie A Yellowribbon @ 10/1
6.50 – Betway Handicap (6f)
His three all-weather wins have come over 7f at Wolverhampton, the most recent one in February, but ONE HART now drops back in distance having faded only late over a furlong extra here earlier in the month. Though yet to win for the Grant Tuer team, the stable are in form and he’s well-handicapped now should a strongly-run sprint unfold here.
Selection: One Hart @ 11/2
