IT’S the final day of the Premier League and just one issue to be settled – and it’s the big one.
Man City and Liverpool have been neck and neck all season and it looks like the Anfield men will lose the title having suffered just one defeat. A consolation prize could come in the shape of being crowned European champions but that’s for another day.
City must beat Brighton away to seal the deal and I’m on them to win to nil. A 2-0 City success looks about right unless they ease nerves early with an early goal and go on the rampage.
Liverpool will probably match City’s result but have a tougher test at home to a Wolves side who have saved their bets stuff for matches against the top six.
I’ll revise the preview I posted on Friday and cover most of the games. Pride and place money is all that’s up for grabs and we could see some weakened teams – Watford for sure ahead of the FA Cup Final and Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea after Euro heroics and with only finals to come.
In Scotland it’s the final Old Firm game of the season and I’ll revise the preview that was posted on Friday.
Plenty to look at on the Continent and I’ll add top tips later or in the morning.
Saturday’s card was as I said beforehand pretty tough and Greg was the star of the show with Serie B goals bets and Scottish both to score double landing. Well done to all the other winners.
Best I can hope for is break even if Sunderland and Portsmouth net to give me a treble and I need Torino to win at lunchtime for moneyback on the fivefold.
I was let down by Livingston who made more changes than expected against Dundee and also left out skipper Craig Halkett who has been their talisman for a few seasons now. He’s on his way to Hearts but was fit enough to only make the bench.
Unfortunately Livi were also the Super Single and wouldn’t have been with Halkett out. I changed to them at the last minute from Cove -1 but that’s the way it goes sometimes.
