SUNDAY was a disappointing day for me but after several good ones I was due a setback on what I felt was a tricky card.
With the Aston Villa Super Single void it was just a 2pts loss on the day with my accas worth 1pt each.
Ten-man Arsenal failing to score at Leicester beat the both to score treble early while both early Spanish provided shock defeats for Sevilla and Valencia.
In fact no La Liga favourites won on Sunday with Real Madrid’s loss at Rayo the pick of a bad bunch. With the likes of Hoffenheim and Marseille losing and Bayern being held at Nurnberg it wasn’t easy to land a winner so well done to anyone who managed it.
There were plenty of good calls especially on cards in the Edinburgh derby and at Rangers v Aberdeen.
I didn’t think Leicester or Chelsea would lose and tipped Man City to win by one or two. Burnley gave them a tough test but that’s Pep’s men just two wins from the title and for me Brighton is a gimme so Liverpool will be hoping Brendan Rodgers and Leicester can do them a favour at the Etihad next Monday.
Tonight there’s not much to look at barring a few top-flight games on the Continent. With the accas profits so good I’ll risk at least 1pt on a double or treble after checking form and stats about lunchtime as I’ve got things to do in the morning.
