Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: Liverpool 8-1 for Champions League repeat

IT’S still quiet on the football front so let’s look at some antepost prices that have been revealed.

Following their Champions League success in Madrid on Saturday Liverpool have been installed 8-1 fifth favourites by Coral to retain their crown.

Manchester City are 5-1 favourites with Barcelona 6-1, Juventus and Real Madrid 7-1 and Tottenham out at 22-1.

Liverpool are 5-2 to win the Premier League next season with City odds on in Coral’s book at 8-13 and Tottenham 14-1 third favourites ahead of 20-1 Chelsea, Manchester United and 25-1 Arsenal.

Some interesting prices there and again it’s tough to look beyond City for the title while Liverpool may again be the more successfl side in Europe.

I didn’t have a bet on Monday so well done to anyone who backed a winner.

On Tuesday there are some Spanish La Liga games and while most issues have been settled Granada need a win at play-off hopefuls Mallorca to seal promotion behind champions Osasuna. Third-placed Albacete welcome fourth-placed Malaga hoping for a Granada slip-up.

I might put up a La Liga double while in the Under-20s World Cup my one bet was on France to beat Mali and the hosts are back in action against United States. If I pick out anything will post after lunch – hoping to beat the weather in the morning for a bit of golf.
