WE’VE got a rare lull in the card after a hectic spell with Bournemouth v Arsenal the only big game to consider.
Obviously being an FA Cup clash team news is vital and I expect both to be around half strength.
Bournemouth have never bothered about the cups, even when they weren’t in relegation trouble, so I imagine Eddie Howe won’t take many risks with his main men now he’s actually involved in a scrap.
Mikel Arteta has made Arsenal harder to beat but at the other end he is without banned skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Not an easy one to call but I can’t see Arsenal losing against a side they drew 1-1 with on the south coast last month.
The last four meetings in Bournemouth have seen both score but let’s see how strong the Cherries go before backing that one.
We knew Liverpool would field their reserves against Shrewsbury but for them to be held 2-2 from 2-0 up was still a big shock. Good to see Jason Cummings get a couple of goals – a Scotland international who has never fulfilled his potential but maybe it’s not too late.
Elsewhere on Mondaythere is little to look at with le Havre v Troyes in Ligue 2 promising goals as it’s done in seven of the last eight meetings.
In Serie B Perugia should beat a Livorno side win no wins in nine and none in 10 on the road.
There could be enough there for a double or treble but I’m favouring a no bet day.
On Sunday my Super Single of Lazio draw no bet was voided – about the fifth time that’s happened this month and probably the difference between breaking even and losing.
The Top Treble was looking goof with Lyon and Leverkusen both winning 3-0 but Juventus let me down late on at Napoli.
Well done to all the winners on what again wasn’t a particularly easy day.
