IT wasn’t a great Sunday for results or outstanding games so thank goodness for Chelsea v Man United.
I didn’t fancy much at all and my one bet on over 2.5 goals was a loser. Greg didn’t like the card either but at least his one bet on over 2.5 goals at Motherwell landed thanks to a last-gasp howler by Hearts keeper Colin Doyle.
Well done to all the other winners and let’s move on to tonight.
At the weekend Chris Sutton was asking on Radio 5 if the FA Cup fifth round had felt a bit flat. For me that was an understatement – there were no shocks, no big games and most of the Premier League sides don’t take it seriously.
It was summed up for me when I had to listen to commentary on Wimbledon v Millwall on the way home from my match. No interested.
I am, however, more excited by Chelsea v Man United tonight and Scott will post a preview. I fancy United to win as long as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plays close to his strongest side.
Elsewhere tonight we have Roma v Bologna in Serie A, Huesca v Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, Nuremberg v Dortmund in the Bundesliga and Aves-Benfica in Portugal so hopefully I’ll dig out a double or treble.
