IT’S not a great card on Thursday but I’ve decided to have my first bet of the month.
The Copa America semi-final between Chile and Peru and the Gold Cup semi featuring USA v Jamaica take place in the early hours in the morning.
But later there are Europa League qualifying second-leg ties including Cardiff Met University v Niederkorn, Runavik v Ballymena and Cliftonville v Barry Town.
It would be great to see the Welsh students win but they trail 1-0 against the Luxembourg side who beat Rangers two years ago.
Two I’m taking are Cliftonville and Klaksvik at Tre Fiori. The Northern Irish side drew 0-0 in Wales but dominated and should finish the job at home where they are unbeaten in 10.
Klaksvik won 5-1 in the Faroes so are clearly miles better than their San Marino opponents and should extend their lead.
For a treble add Rafael Nadal to beat Aussie bad boy Nick Kyrgios in the second round at Wimbledon. All Kyrgios games are fiery but this should be especially so after he branded the French Open champion “super salty” and insisted it’s someone he wouldn’t want to have a beer with.
Nadal’s a class act and he’ll be out to humiliate his brash opponent if possible.
Well done to all the winners on Wednesday.
