THERE have been plenty of shocks in the Women World Cup and Copa America but when it came to the crunch the tournament favourites won both finals.
I did a simple double on USA Women and Brazil and both covered the -1 handicap although 10-man Brazil suffered a few scares before getting over the line.
My double gave me a profit of 2.7pts but I lost 0.5pts covering the Brazil result before their late third.
Well done to all the winners on Sunday and there were plenty. It’s not been the easiest of close seasons but “real football” is just around the corner with the likes of Celtic and Rangers in European action on Tuesday and the Betfred Cup.

On Monday there are two Africa Cup of Nations game with Mali taking on Ivory Coast and Ghana facing Tunisia as well as some friendlies.
Wimbledon returns after a rest day and I’ll decide later if there are any tennis or football tips.
