IT was a day when Rangers and Liverpool were to mark down their title credentials but it ended being another day for bookies as both flopped.
Rangers’ stay at the top of the Premiership lasted one game as they were held at Hearts while Liverpool’s perfect start to the season ended with a 1-1 draw at archrivals Man United.
To be fair to the two underdogs they stepped it up and deserved their points but the two title contenders will be disappointed in their displays.
Both cost me on another poor day but well done to all the winners including Greg, HullShaker and SlipsTips with some good shouts on his match previews.
My Man Utd v Liverpool predictions contest attracted hundreds of entries with the vast majority going for Liverpool.
Plenty of people picked two out of five correct with one backing Adam Lallana to score or just four corners in the match.
However, one person gave me three correct answers so well done to Kabed who on the first post took 1-1, Marcus Rashford to score first and 1-0 half-time. Your prize of a £25 Ladbrokes bet can be claimed by emailing mrfixit@dailyrecord.co.uk.
On Monday the big game is Sheffield Utd v Arsenal and I expect the home men to make it tough for their illustrious opponents.
Not much else to look at ahead of the Euro ties but there is Brescia v Fiorentina in Serie A and some Dutch second-tier matches. I’ll look to put up a doubleo or treble in the morning.
