AFTER disappointing draws in the Champions League Liverpool and Man City get back down to the business of fighting it out for the Premier League title.
The lunchtime game features City at Newcastle and while they’ve struggled at St James’ Park in recent seasons I see them winning by at least two against shot-shy rivals.
Later Liverpool are at home to a decent Brighton side who do most of their best work on the south coast.
So it should be wins for the big two as well as Chelsea against West Ham – and if you add Leicester at home to Everton it’s a top-four fourfold that pays 11-5 at Marathonbet and one that will tempt the big hitters.
I’ve already picked out Leicester -1 as Sunday’s Super Single and just to win they’re likely to be on my Top Treble on Sunday.
Saturday’s Super Single is Motherwell at just over evens at home to basement boys St Johnstone. It will be interesting to see if Greg agrees after wrongly backing against his side last week.
Talking of Greg – what a run on he’s on and he tells me he’s close to saving the money he needed to buy a condo on the Clydebank riviera. He’s had a tremendous week and on Friday it was French goals that landed for him. Some amount of goals in Holland too – all but one game going over 3.5 goals.
Friday’s aren’t good days for me but I was happy to land my 27-10 Top Treble thanks to late goals by Schalke and Marseille.
