FOR me Liverpool have already won the title – 10 points clear for a team that’s lost one Premier League game this year is a huge gap.
And despite being dragged to Qatar for the Club World Cup the Reds’ lead may remain intact.
That’s because closest challengers Leicester and Man City meet at the Emirates and unless the Foxes win the real winners will be Liverpool.
Leicester blew their chance last week when they were held at home to Norwich – a result they couldn’t afford ahead of meetings with Man City and then Liverpool on Boxing Day.
And tonight I fancy Pep Guardiola’s third-placed side to edge a win against rivals whose last two away defeats were at Man United and Liverpool.
City are a best 4-11 at Ladbrokes while my call is City and over 2.5 goals at 4-5 with Coral – 15 of 17 league games for City have gone over. Both to score as a single pays 4-6 at Betfred.
Kevin de Bruyne is beginning to look like the best player in the Premier League and scored a cracker in last week’s 3-0 cruise at Arsenal. The Belgian is 13-5 at bet365 to net.
Jamie Vardy’s scoring run ended at eight as he drew a blank against the Canaries but he could hurt City on the counter and is 2-1 at Betfred to net.
The day starts with Everton v Arsenal as Duncan Ferguson gets set to hand over the reins to Carlo Ancelotti.
Big Dunc is unbeaten in three with a win against Chelsea and draws with Man United and Leicester (before losing on penalties).
The Scot has brought the roar back to Goodison with the fans and players responding to his full-on, get stuck in style.
Arsenal could be shocked by the home side’s aggression and unless Mikel Arteta brings an immediate new boss bounce Big Dunc could sign off with a win at 11-8 with Marathonbet but a draw might be more likely.

Elsewhere in the Premier League today there are a series of tight games and no result in any of them would be a surprise.

On Sunday it’s Jose Mourinho v Frank Lampard and I fancy Spurs to get the better of a Chelsea side that’s gone off the boil. Jose’s men are 11-8 at Ladbrokes.
Man United have some of their mojo back and look worth backing at 5-6 with McBookie at Watford with on-form Marcus Rashford 5-4 with bet365 to score.
In the Championship I like Huddersfield at home to a Nottingham Forest side who I heard could have conceded eight at home to Sheffield Wednesday last week – and that was just in the first half.
The Terriers are 7-4 at Betfred and talking of Wednesday they should be a sure thing at home to Bristol City on Sunday and are 3-4 at Betfred.
Steven Fletcher’s need eight in six for the Owls and is 7-5 at Paddy Power to score.
