18/1 shots Stevenage pulled off the biggest upset of the FA Cup so far, not only beating Premier League side Aston Villa but coming from behind to do so.
Tonight’s it’s Oxford United’s chance to record some FA Cup history of their own. The League One side could hardly be facing a tougher assignment however, hosting the top team in the country at the moment.
The Gunners find themselves five points clear at the top of the Premier League and are unbeaten in 11 league games. They last won the cup three seasons ago but Round Three and Round Four exits away to Nottingham Forest and Southampton respectively in the last two seasons means they’re overdue a run in the competition.
Mikel Arteta is expected to make a raft of changes for the game especially with the North London Derby on Sunday, followed by the visit of Man Utd to the Emirates.
At 9/1 Oxford are apparently twice as likely to win tonight as Stevenage were at Villa Park yesterday but that feels unlikely but it’s difficult to find much value on the Gunners.
On the goals front it’s just 4/6 for Arsenal to score three or more. There’s a good chance they will but not worth taking on at those odds.
They’ll undoubtedly enjoy the lion’s share of possession and that should lead to some penalty box action where the possibility of a pently being awarded should be considered. Bizzarely, at Bet365 Arsenal are 9/4 to score a penalty but it’s 11/4 for a penalty to be awarded?!?
