Two of the form teams in the Championship go head-to-head in tonight’s live match on Sky Sports as the race for the Premier League heats up.
Just nine points separate the seven teams tucked in behind league leaders Fulham and a win for either side would be a major boost to their promotion chances.
Middlesborough (9/5) are a team with some serious momentum at the moment. They’ve climbed from 20th to sixth since Chris Wilder was appointed manager in November having collected 20 points from their nine league games and are unbeaten in their last eight in all competitions (W7 D1).
Blackburn had been on a similar upward trajectory until their defeat at Hull last midweek. Prior to that they’d picked up 32 points from a possible 39 and have the chance to move in to second place this evening.
From a betting perspective it looks too close to call, in fact six of the last 10 meetings between the sides have been drawn. There’s also been a noticeable lack of goals with just one of those 10 going Over 2.5 Goals. Of the four matches that have been won in that period all four have been a single goal and that could be the best route to take tonight.
A winning margin of one goal, by either side, pays 6/5 at McBookie.
Tunisia and Burkina Faso booked their place in the African Cup of Nations last eight and another four teams will be aiming to join them today. Tolu has previewed today’s matches between Guinea and Gambia and hosts Cameroon and Comoros.
