Liverpool lie in wait for Nottingham Forest or Huddersfield who meet in the final match of the FA Cup fifth round this evening.
Forest have been this season’s star performers in the tournament, knocking out Arsenal then cup-holders Leicester in a sensational 4-1 win at the City Ground. Tonight however, they go in to their tie with the Terriers as favourites (19/20) and that could put a different spin on things.
Both clubs have an eye on a return to the Premier League and it’s Huddersfiled who look the more likely at the moment. They’ve climbed to second in the table off the back of a three month unbeaten run. Arguably the bright lights of the top flight is the prize that both clubs cherish most but a home FA Cup tie against Jurgen Klopp’s side is one hell of a carrot.
Based on current form Huddersfield don’t deserve to be as big as 16/5, especially since they’ve already won in Nottingham twice in the last 12 months and they’re worth getting on boiard with at 4/5 on the Double Chance market which of course also includes the draw.
In the Premier League two of the most unpredictable teams meet in north London. Spurs’ last six reads DWLWLL whereas Everton’s is WLLWLW. Inconsistency seems to be in Tottenham’s DNA but home advantage over a Toffees side, who have the worst record in the league away from home, should see Antonio Conte’s side pick up the three points.
Heung-Min Son scored his 10th league goal of the season against Leeds and in doing so the South Korean and Harry Kane have now combined more than any other pair in Premier League history. Son is 13/10 to score anytime, while Kane is 12/5 to score first. Kane has scored 12 times against Everton, second only to Leicester City, against home he’s scored 18, and is most likely to break the deadlock.
It was a case of close but no cigar for The Caddy’s 16/1 headline tip, Victor Hovland on Sunday. The Norwegian scored a +2 final round which saw him finish T2nd at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, behind Scottie Scheffler who wouldn’t have imagined that level par round on the final day would’ve been enough to for him to lift the trophy. Still, another week of profitable place money for The Caddy’s followers.
Jamie Kennedy did manage to go one better with a sizzling European Goals Four-fold on Sunday, taking in games in France, Italy, Spain and Portgual, which landed at over 13/2. Don’t miss his Acca Tips for Monday.
