Joachim Niemann had a putt to win the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detriot but was just a couple of inches off claiming a fantastic win and ended up bowing out in the first hole of a three-way play-off.
Having been in the running all weekend it was a disappointing end for the young Chilean who was The Caddy’s 22/1 headline tip at the PGA Tour event. But any backers would still have claimed some nice place money at those odds.
