The Nottingham Forest board have put their faith in Steve Cooper by handing him a new contract until 2025. It’s a commendable move when the club are bottom of the table but it’ll have given the club a boost and reassurance to a squad full of players signed by Cooper.
Tonight they’ve chance to repay that faith with victory over Aston Villa that would see them climb out of the relegation zone.
Villa could do with a win themselves after taking just 8 points from their opening 8 matches under Steven Gerrard.
