Milwaukee Brewers @ Oakland Athletics
IF your wondering what to do this evening, what TV soap to watch, don’t, turn over to BT Sports at 8.10pm and watch some baseball from across the pond. I have my first pick of many in this sport, and hope to start off as I mean to go on with a winner.
The Brewers made starting pitching a priority at the deadline out of absolute necessity. They brought in two new guys but have no starter currently lined up for tonight in Oakland after Josh Hader pitched in their win yesterday. This is a team with a strong offence and can still plug a win anywhere in the country but they were just very ordinary in the season opener and game 2 scoring just 6 runs. Simply, star man and 2018 National league MVP Christian Yelich just can’t do it all even though he has already matched his season homer total from a year ago.
Oakland also made a move to get a decent starting pitching and they got one in Homer Bailey. They are definitely still aiming for the division even though the Wild Card look likes the only option. They are not going to catch Houston after the haul of players they made. Like Milwaukee they have a power packed lineup. They have better pitching than many think too. Daniel Mengden will get the ball on Thursday to and I think Oakland will take this at home.
Even though this game is in Oakland I expect the offense to rule the field. Oakland do have more unders than overs at home but with Milwaukee uncertain and the day game after night I think everyone will be a little less sharp. The Brewers have played more under on the road, and that has brung us a nice low total to exploit in over 9.5.
Definitely not a game in which to go crazy on , put a few beer tokens on it and enjoy the 9 innings. I personally like the Money line/total runs market, get slightly better odds also which is a plus!, but again don’t go crazy just enjoy it!
