AC Milan and Inter Milan will look to pull further clear of the chasing pack when they take on Atalanta and Udinese respectively on Saturday.
La Dea Can Frustrate Leaders
Atalanta look set to provide a stern test to Serie A leaders AC Milan when they square off at the San Siro at 17:00.
La Dea secured third place for the second successive campaign in 2019-20 and they are likely to be in the mix for another top-four finish in 2020-21.
They sit sixth, one point adrift of third-placed Napoli, and have once again been prolific in front of goal, scoring 41 times – the second highest tally in the division.
Milan’s only defeat of the season so far came earlier this month when they went down at home to defending champions Juventus.
Despite that loss, Milan still remain top of the table and are three points clear of cross-city rivals Inter Milan after 18 outings.
Atalanta have proven they can mix it with the best of late, drawing at Juventus in December, and they will be confident of taking something off Milan.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s men are unbeaten in six meetings with Milan, winning two and drawing four, and they can be backed at 5/12
in the double chance market.
Inter Keen to Close the Gap
Inter Milan were the closest challengers to Juventus last season, finishing just a point shy of the champions, and they have built on that solid platform in 2020-21.
A 2-0 win at home to Juventus last time out signalled their intent for the campaign and they aren’t expected to find too much resistance when heading to Udinese at 17:00.
Udinese are down in 15th after failing to win any of their last eight engagements, while they haven’t tasted victory in five outings across all competitions on home soil.
The visitors are fairly priced at 20/33
to pick up all three points, something they have achieved in five of their last six trips to the Stadio Friuli.
Inter boast the fourth best defensive record in Serie A and haven’t conceded in their last three visits to Udinese, therefore, backing an Inter win to zero at 31/20
could be the way to go.
Il Grifone Primed to Push Away From Danger
Genoa looked serious relegation candidates in the opening stages of the term but they have found some form over recent weeks.
After winning their first outing of the campaign at home to Crotone, Genoa endured a run of 12 games without a victory.
But they have lost just once in their last five fixtures, winning twice during that sequence, and look to be hitting form at just the right time.
Il Grifone are just one point clear of the bottom three but they have a fantastic opportunity to widen that gap when they host strugglers Cagliari.
Cagliari’s last triumph came back in November and they have lost each of their last six across all competitions.
Genoa are unbeaten in three at home, drawing with Lazio and AC Milan during that run, and they are worth backing at 5/4
on Sunday.
