It’s common to see odds fluctuating in the build up to any set of fixtures as punters start to wield their knowledge and place bets ahead of the action.
Anything from late team news to changing weather conditions can alter betting patterns in the run up to a game, and as the money builds on certain teams and outcomes, the odds start to shorten.
The wisdom of the crowd is a very real phenomenon, and in our weekly Market Movers feature we take advantage of the changing trends by bringing you the best backed teams of the day.
This Tuesday’s selections include fixtures from the Eredivise, League One, League Two and the Copa del Rey, which we’ve combined into a huge 33/1 accumulator.

Tuesday’s Market Movers Acca
FC Emmen vs PSV (Eredivisie) 19:00
PSV to Win
Bottom club Emmen should offer little resistance to a PSV team that straightened their path quickly after their wobble at home to AZ earlier this month. Roger Schmidt’s side replenished any depleted belief with three wins in their last three, and they travel to Emmen with momentum.
Confidence in Eindhoven was always considerable, though the possible return of creative conduit Mario Gotze on Tuesday evening has led to further action on their end in the markets.
MK Dons vs Charlton (League One) 19:00
MK Dons to Win
Buoyed by three victories in their last four league assignments, MK Dons could prove a trickier prospect for Charlton than they might have just a few weeks ago. Joe Mason notched a superb hattrick in the Dons’ 3-1 win over Fleetwood on Saturday, and the Irishman’s return to form could give the hosts the edge on Tuesday.
Charlton meanwhile, are in danger of slipping out of the playoff places following a dismal run of just one win in eight games, and having been toppled at the Valley by MK Dons last month, a second humbling could follow in Milton Keynes.
Rochdale vs Oxford United (League One) 19:00
Oxford United to Win
Rochdale let a point slip through their fingers at Gillingham on Saturday when a last-gasp John Akinde’s equaliser denied them a share of the spoils, and Dale should be low on confidence for the visit of red-hot Oxford as a result.
A five-game winning surge has launched United up the League One table at a rate of knots, and with attacking duo Olamide Shodipo and Matt Taylor in particularly prolific form, Oxford should have too much firepower for their hosts.
Salford City vs Cambridge United (League Two) 19:00
Salford City to Win
Recent loan-signing from Leeds – Robbie Gotts – enjoyed a superb goals-scoring debut for Salford against Harrogate Town on Saturday, and with the 21-year-old involved, striker James Wilson expected to be back and Richie Towell’s return to fitness, Salford look capable of turning the leaders over on Tuesday.
Cambridge lost first-choice stopper Dimitar Mitov to injury in their last game against Bradford, while the recent departure of talented defender Harry Darling to MK Dons has also weakened their hand.
Real Betis vs Real Sociedad (Copa del Rey) 20:00
Real Betis to Win
Real Betis clawed their way back from two goals down to claim a draw at Real Sociedad in the team’s La Liga tussle on Saturday, and Los Verdiblancos dramatic turnaround should give them the impetus to make a quicker start when the sides reconvene in the Copa del Rey on Tuesday.
With David Silva out injured, Martin Odegaard on his way to Arsenal and Adnan Januzaj still far more miss than hit, Sociedad lack a little bit of guile at the moment, and they could suffer against a Betis side that are in the midst of six-match unbeaten run.
