CALEY THISTLE can win a huge game in the Championship against fellow title hopefuls Raith Rovers on Saturday in Inverness.
Billy Dodds’ side have been consistently near the top of the league this season, but they have probably drawn too many games.
That’s what happened when they went to Arbroath last week, although a point at Gayfield these days is certainly not to be sniffed at.
But the wheels have come off somewhat recently in Kirkcaldy, or at least Rovers are going through a sticky patch.
They have only won one game in their last six in all competitions and worryingly, have forgotten how to score having only netted once in that period.
They have lost at Partick Thistle and an out-of-form Ayr United in that spell and ICT can get the better of John McGlynn’s side at 6/5.
In the same league, PARTICK THISTLE can end Hamilton Accies’ recent revival with a win in Lanarkshire.
Accies looked like they were in real danger of being relegated for the second season in a row, but boss Stuart Taylor has steadied the ship and they romped to a 3-0 win at Queen of the South last week, although they were playing against ten men for long periods of the match.
The Jags should be well rested having not played for three weeks by the time this game goes ahead, but Ian McCall should have them fired up for this as they look to get tabs with the leaders at the top of the league.
Thistle have already battered Hamilton 6-1 at New Douglas Park this season and followed that up with another win at Firhill.
They look a fair price at 13/10 to claim their third victory over Accies this season already.
ANNAN ATHLETIC had to dig deep to maintain their seven game unbeaten record last week having being forced to play with ten men for the majority of the match at Stranraer, but a last gasp equaliser kept it up.
Peter Murphy’s side had won four in-a-row in the league up until then which included an eye-catching 5-1 humbling of runaway League Two leaders Kelty Hearts.
They aren’t quite as good on the road, but should still have enough to defeat the bottom-of-the-table Blue Brazil who are ten points from safety and have only two league wins all season at evens.
