ST MIRREN can get their first league win of the season against a struggling Aberdeen side on Sunday.
Jim Goodwin’s side have won plenty of plaudits for the way they have played, but they haven’t been able to convert that into a win yet.
They had also struggled to score but rectified that by netting twice in an entertaining 2-2 at Easter Road against Hibs last week in a game they could arguably have won.
Aberdeen have been on a downward spiral since they were knocked out of the League Cup at Raith Rovers. The side appears to be unbalanced with far too many central midfielders.
They have serious problems at the back too and concede every game. That seems to have spread to the attack now as Stephen Glass’ side struggles to convert chances with no wins in their last seven games.
Aberdeen have only won once in their last five visits to Paisley too and the 19/10 on a Saints win looks value.
DUNFERMLINE can turn the corner and beat Hamilton Accies at home on Saturday.
Peter Grant’s side’s problems have been well documented, but by all accounts, they played very well last week and were unlucky not to beat Championship leaders Caley Thistle at East End Park.
Accies appear to be in freefall despite appointing Stuart Taylor as manager and were thumped by Arbroath and Ayr United recently.
They appear not to have recovered from last season’s relegation and could be heading the same way this season if they don’t arrest their issues.
And the 7/5 on a Pars win is perfectly acceptable.
COVE RANGERS do most of their best work at their Balmoral Stadium and can beat Airdrie in Aberdeen at 17/20. Paul Hartley’s side hasn’t quite caught fire yet this season, but last week’s late winner at Peterhead would have done them the world of good.
They are unbeaten at home in the league this season, although they will have been frustrated to only draw with Montrose and Falkirk there.
Airdrie have won their last two games, but they were against bottom dogs East Fife and at home to Alloa. They don’t pick up the same number of points on their travels outside Lanarkshire.
Cove should show why they were one of the pre-season favourites by beating the Diamonds.
