STENHOUSEMUIR can keep alive their play-off hopes in League Two with a victory against Albion Rovers at Ochilview.
Stephen Swift’s side are in fifth place with three games left, but are only three points behind Edinburgh City in the play-off spots and will fancy their chances.
After a drop in form, Stenny got back to winning ways last week with a fine victory at Elgin City. Only a win will do this week too.
They are up against an Albion Rovers side who have absolutely nothing to play for. They are safe from a relegation play-off and can’t reach the promotion play-offs.
Perhaps that was reflected in last week’s 5-0 home trouncing from Stranraer in Coatbridge. They have failed to score a goal in four of their last six games.
Stenny won the corresponding fixture at Cliftonhill in January and can triumph again at 5/6.
Too many draws have done for QUEEN’S PARK in the League One title race, but they could still catch Montrose and get third place and they should be backed for their trip to Peterhead.
The former amateurs don’t score or concede too many goals, but will be looking to impress Owen Coyle, who officially starts his role in June, but who is currently assessing the squad.
They’ve won two of their last three games and seem to be over a sticky patch earlier in the season where they drew four games in a row 1-1.
They beat Peterhead at Firhill last month and should have too much for the Blue Toon side at Balmoor at 29/20.
ANNAN ATHLETIC look too big to secure second place in League Two with a win at Forfar Athletic at 21/10.
Kelty Hearts may have romped to the title, but the best travellers in the league have been Annan, who are superb on the road.
The Galabankies have picked up three more points than Kelty on their travels and have won 11 of their 16 away games. It’s been their home form that’s let them down as was proved by two recent shock losses at home to Cowdenbeath and Albion Rovers.
But they’ve won six of their last seven away games and will fancy it against a Forfar side who have failed to win on their last three home games at Station Park and who lost to Edinburgh City last week.
