Edinburgh City v Queen’s Park
QUEEN’S PARK can take a giant step towards clinching League Two by winning at Edinburgh City on Saturday lunchtime.
Ray McKinnon’s men will surely undoubtedly win promotion and so they should with the squad they have got, but all too rarely this season have the chance came along for them to be backed at a decent price.
The 23/20 at the start of the week has gone, but the 10/11 is still value for a side who have won seven games in a row, conceded only two goals away from Hampden, or the Falkirk Stadium where they now play and have only lost six games in the league all season.
They are facing an Edinburgh City outfit who have been doing pretty well themselves under new manager Gary Naysmith, but the former Everton and Scotland star was complaining this week about being down to the bare bones through injury.
If Simon Murray converted even half the chances he’s being presented with, the former amateurs would really be hammering teams. As it is, they should still have more than enough firepower to east past the capital club at Ainslie Park.
Aberdeen v Livingston
ABERDEEN can welcome in Stephen Glass with a win in their Scottish Cup tie at Pittodrie against Livingston.
Glass takes charge of the Dons for the first time and it will be interesting to see if he gets a reaction out of his players, who have struggled to score all season.
But while their 1-0 win in Perth last week against St Johnstone was far from pretty, it could give them a real shot in the arm against a side who had been going great guns.
Livi are now on a run of one win in ten and their 6-0 thumping at Celtic last week could have been even worse. They are nearly always tricky adversaries, but they look like a club who are crying out for the end of the season and the Dons should win.
East Fife v Peterhead
EAST FIFE can win at home against Peterhead in League One.
Jim McInally’s Blue Toon side have won just once in their last four games and could yet get dragged into a relegation dogfight.
Since the leagues restarted, East Fife have held Morton, Partick Thistle and Cove Rangers to draws in Methil over 90 minutes and they are all a level up from Peterhead.
They still have play-off hopes and can get three points on Saturday.
