After a five year wait since the last Summer Olympics in 2016, we can finally sit back and enjoy a host of sporting events, with gold medals up for grabs in 339 events over 33 different sports.
Team GB will be looking to somehow top their 2016 effort, which were the most successful games for the Brits in over a century.
