JD Gaming are expected to make easy work of Ninjas in Pyjamas on Tuesday. JDG are in exceptional form and have already won everything there was to win so far this season, while NiP have barely made any noise in LPL 2023 Summer.
With a 5-4 record, Ninjas are in a decent spot for their standards and look like they’re on the up. However, they only seem to do well against lesser squads.
Against better teams, Ninjas in Pyjamas have looked completely toothless, so expecting them to do well against the reigning LPL and Mid-Season Invitational champions sounds a bit too optimistic. JD Gaming to cover the kill handicap (10.5) looks appealing, but we’re getting the same price on under 24.5 kills – which, knowing that NiP haven’t seen more than 20 kills against EDward Gaming and Team WE, sounds like the best choice.

LPL 2023 Summer Week 5 continues with another one-sided affair as sixth-placed Weibo Gaming meet with 13th-placed FunPlus Phoenix. Despite their 5-3 record, Weibo come into this one as massive favourites.
Weibo Gaming’s only three defeats this split have come against Bilibili Gaming (1-2), Top Esports (1-2), and Oh My God (1-2). That isn’t too concerning, because they performed well in their losses and won against stronger teams such as JD Gaming (2-0) and LNG Esports (2-0).
With Weibo Gaming, there’s always a risk that they’ll fall apart – as they did against Bilibili – but that concern is only justifiable when they play one of the top teams. They are much stronger than FunPlus Phoenix and should close this game out quickly and with plenty to spare.

Invictus Gaming have not won a game since the first week of LPL 2023 Summer, and they haven’t even had a very tough schedule to fight through. Last week, IG showed little in their defeats to FunPlus Phoenix (0-2) and Rare Atom (0-2) – two very beatable teams.
Yet after struggling so much, Invictus Gaming won against LNG Esports (2-0) on Sunday, which turned everything we knew about them upside down. But does one upset win change the fact that Invictus have looked like one of the worst teams in the league?
Bilibili Gaming are the complete opposite. The LPL 2023 Spring and Mid-Season Invitational 2023 finalists look better than ever and enter the fifth week of the summer split with a 7-1 record. Their only loss came against JD Gaming (0-2), which is hardly surprising when BLG have yet to defeat JDG this season.
This is another David vs Goliath match which shouldn’t serve us with any surprises. Bilibili Gaming are significantly better than Invictus, and IG’s upset win on Sunday doesn’t change that. This is Bilibili’s game to lose, and due to their aggressive playstyle (15.4 kills per game), they are a fine choice to cover the 10.5 kill handicap.
