Royal Never Give Up won their opening match of LPL 2023 Summer against Rare Atom (2-0) on Wednesday, which wasn’t too shocking. Despite the many roster changes RNG have made ahead of the summer split, they are still a solid mid-table team and should be in the race for a spot in the playoffs.
LNG Esports kicked off LPL 2023 Summer with a 2-1 victory against Top Esports, which looks promising; however, both of their wins were very close and could’ve gone either way. Playing a close game against Top Esports is nothing to sneeze at, but LNG Esports still have room for improvement – which is normal for a team that rebuilt its roster.
Royal Never Give Up look weaker on paper, but $5.00 in the head-to-head market is far too generous. Many people are down on RNG following the departure of three veteran players; however, if the performance against Rare Atom is any indication, they can win at least one map against LNG.

Top Esports lost their LPL 2023 Summer opener against LNG Esports, but it was a very close game. During the series, TES showed some good qualities and a few cracks in their mid-late game transition, which could be a problem in this fixture.
EDward Gaming kicked off the new split with a 2-0 sweep of Ninjas in Pyjamas, who they beat by dragging the game out through strong teamfighting. This strategy should work well against TES, who can be a bit lost in the late game; however, Top Esports are also very efficient in the early game, which could create problems for EDward Gaming.
This should be an entertaining series, and while we can make arguments for both teams, betting on over 2.5 maps looks like the right play.
