Brentford 13/20
Brentford are on a great run in the Championship where they’re unbeaten in 15 and should be good enough to start the year with three points at home to Bristol City.
They splashed out on Ivan Toney in the summer and that investment is paying dividends. The 24-year-old leads the scoring charts with 16 goals to his name and has been pivotal to their success.
Bristol City have lost four of their last five and have a host of injuries to deal with.
Rangers 21/20
The Gers have been almost untouchable in the Premiership this season and have already won at Celtic Park. A win here would all but end Celtic’s title aspirations.
The Hoops have been struggling for top form all season and depsite some improvement in recent weeks look a shadow of the side that’s won four consecutive trebles in Scotland.
Both sides might be happy to settle for a draw but based on form the value lies with Rangers.
Hibernian 11/10
Livingston have been in great form since replacing Gary Holt with David Martingale. It’s now six wins in a row and eight in their last nine in all competitions but the trip to Easter Road will be their biggest test to date.
Hibs have enjoyed a great season so far, vying with Aberdeen for third place and already in the Betfred Cup semi-final. They fell to a surprise defeat to Ross County in midweek so it might be a good time to get on board as I’m sure Jack Ross will expect a reaction from his side.
That defeat has seen Hibs price drift a little from 1/1 to 11/10.
Hearts 4/6
The Jambos can take a huge stride towards an immediate return to the top flight with a win at Dens Park.
Dundee have looked fragile ever since their opening weekend 6-2 defeat at the hands of Saturday’s opponents and if they’ve any chance of catching Hearts they need to win here.
That could leave them exposed and Hearts are more than capable of picking them off if they’re in the mood.
Falkirk 7/10
Everything was looking rosy for the Bairns until a couple of weeks ago when they suffered a surprise defeat at home to Airdrie then followed that up with stalemate against promotion rivals Partick Thistle. Saturday gives them the perfect chance to get things back on track.
The Fifers can be a tough nut to crack at Bayview but title-chasing Falkirk should be too good.
Sevilla 19/20
Another derby where anything can happen but Sevilla have ruled the roost in the city for some time now. They’re up there challenging at the right end of the table again, just six points off the pace.
Sevilla have won 12 of the last 18 meetings and Julen Lopetegui’s side, who’s only two defeats in the last ten have come against Real Madrid and Chelsea, have enough quality to take the New Year bragging rights in Andalusia.
