DRX field an interesting roster, with Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee and Park “Teddy” Jin-seong surrounded by younger players. This blend of veteran and relatively inexperienced players is not a bad choice, as it should allow DRX to grow as the season goes on.
However, DRX hasn’t done much compared to other teams, suggesting that they will have a difficult time contesting the top spots.
Hanwha Life Esports kept their core and coaching staff and signed big names to form the next LCK super team. This new line-up is good; granted, HLE were solid last season and could’ve achieved more had they not been as predictable with forcing scaling compositions and waiting for opponents to make mistakes.
Hanwha Life Esports’ biggest weakness in 2023 was their strategy, and without changing the coaching staff, things likely won’t change in 2024. HLE is much stronger individually than DRX, but unless they change their approach to the game, HLE might struggle even against lesser teams.

Keeping the entire roster together after winning the LoL World Championship was the best decision T1 could’ve made. This roster is excellent, and it’s tough to make any changes that would make it better, especially considering it consists of several players who can improve further.
Kwangdong Freecs kept coach Kim “cvMax” Dae-ho and gave him a young core of players he can work with, which can work out great. With younger rosters, the potential is always there, especially with Kwangdong Freecs, who have managed to pick out some of the most promising players in the league.
Kwangdong Freecs might need more time to find traction, but at the offered betting odds and considering we’re in the first week of a new season, they’re worth a bet with a map advantage.
