Afreeca Freecs and Hanwha Life Esports will cross swords on Thursday in a match that won’t matter too much. Hanwha Life Esports will finish the season inside bottom-four no matter how they do in the final week, whereas Afreeca Freecs are guaranteed a top-six finish with little to no chance of improving their seeding.
HLE and AF last met during the third week of the summer split, when Afreeca Freecs won with 2-0, and it’s fair to expect another clean victory for the boys in blue here. Even though AF don’t necessarily need to win, they will want to keep their momentum alive and enter the playoffs in good form.
Last week, Afreeca Freecs demolished Nongshim RedForce (2-0), and were just as impressive at the end of July when they upset DWG KIA (2-1). Besides their fluke (1-2) loss against DRX, Afreeca Freecs have been more consistent than HLE and should get the job done in no more than two maps.

Like Hanwha Life Esports, KT Rolster are out of the playoffs race, and deservingly so. They have been very underwhelming throughout the entire summer season, and they never really found their footing.
KT Rolster have only done well against bottom-table teams in DRX and Feredit BRION, but were otherwise very inefficient when faced with squads ranked inside the top-six. Their only notable win happened on the final day of the opening week when they stunned DWG KIA.
Liiv SANDBOX enter this match priced as $1.37 favourites, which seems fair. They have been phenomenal this season and are now only two games away from securing the organisation’s first LCK regular-season title.
KT Rolster don’t have any incentive to win, whereas Liiv SANDBOX do. We expect that to show on Thursday.
