The games continue to come thick and fast at this stage of the EFL season, with crucial fixtures at the top and bottom ends of the League One and League Two tables.
Rotherham United and Forest Green Rovers look strong favourites for promotion from their respective leagues, but who else will go up still remains unclear.
The battle for Football League survival also looks like going to the wire, with at least nine teams fearing the drop into the National League.
Wigan Strong Enough to Hold off Rivals
There are currently 10 points separating leaders Rotherham and the third-placed team in League One, with the Millers looking well set for an immediate return to the Championship.
Wigan Athletic are the team who currently occupy second spot on 69 points, three ahead of third-placed MK Dons and the Latics also have two games in hand on their closest rivals.
After a brief spell in charge at Accrington Stanley, Leam Richardson has really stepped up to the plate at the DW Stadium and has a squad with a good mix of youth, experience and quality.
The likes of Irish duo James McClean and Will Keane offer the top-level experience, while the goal firepower comes from the likes of Callum Lang and Stephen Humphrys.
Wigan have actually won more points on the road than at home and should have enough to hold off the Dons and Oxford United, who are seven points behind in fourth.
Harris can Help Gillingham Survive
Six weeks ago, Gillingham looked doomed to relegation and, after a run of 14 games without a win, they parted company with Steve Evans.
Former Millwall boss Neil Harris was appointed and since then the Gills have taken 11 points from seven games and given themselves real hope of survival.
The Kent outfit are now three points from safety and facing a big game against play-off hopefuls Bolton Wanderers on Saturday – with the Gills 21/10 to collect the three points.
With the bottom two – Crewe Alexandra and Doncaster Rovers – still struggling to find the form needed to pull themselves out of trouble, it could prove to be a four-way battle – between Gillingham, Morecambe, AFC Wimbledon and Fleetwood Town – to avoid the remaining two relegation spots.
Exeter Run Comes at the Right Time
The form side in League Two at present are Exeter City, who go into this Friday’s trip to Mansfield Town on a nine-game unbeaten run and in the process, moved up to fourth.
Matt Taylor’s men are just two points outside the automatic promotion places and have three games in hand on both second-place Northampton Town and third-placed Tranmere Rovers.
The Grecians are 19/10 to win at Field Mill on Friday, with the Stags – currently sat just inside the play-off zone – available at 29/20.
Sheridan Can Pull Off Great Escape
After a 3-0 defeat at Harrogate Town in late January, Oldham Athletic looked odds-on to be relegated and join Scunthorpe United in the National League.
But the re-appointment of former boss John Sheridan has seen fortunes improve for the Latics, once a Premier League side, and they now have their fate in their own hands.
Oldham are just one point behind third-from-bottom Barrow with a game in hand, while a host of other clubs have also been dragged into the tussle.
Stevenage, Colchester United, Leyton Orient and Carlisle United – who play Oldham at Boundary Park on Saturday – are all embroiled in the relegation dogfight with just three points spanning the teams mentioned.
