ST JOHNSTONE will fancy their chances of pulling off a stunning Cup double at Hampden today after winning their last three games against Hibs.
But McBookie make the Easter Road men 3/4 favourites to lift the trophy, with Saints 21/20 shots.
That’s probably down to the Covid issues that have disrupted Callum Davidson’s preparations in the build-up.
And Hibs have also finally shown they can handle the Hampden heat after ending a run of five successive
semi-final losses by dumping Dundee United.
One of those last-four defeats came at the hands of Saints in this season’s League Cup, with the Perth side romping to a 3-0 win.
Set-pieces were crucial that day with Jason Kerr breaking the deadlock from a corner then Shaun Rooney nodding home the second from a free-kick.
If I’ve feeling they could be key today and Saints’ David Wotherspoon is a tempting 5/1 at McBookie for an assist.
It was his corner that led to the opener in that League Cup semi-final win and the veteran usually impresses on the big stage.
There was a total of 23 corners across both Scottish Cup semi-finals so it could pay to bank on more today.
Over 9.5 corners is 10/11 with McBookie which is good for accumulators and the odds increase to 7/5 with the same firm for over 10.5.
Hibs’ success this season has been down to their front three with Martin Boyle, Kevin Nisbet and Christian Doidge banging in the goals.
Boyle’s pace is a huge weapon on the big Hampden pitch and he’s overpriced at 4/1 for a goal (Paddy Power) while McBookie make him 3/1 for an assist.
Chris Kane should start up front for St Johnstone after playing a key role in their march to the final.
He got the final touch on keeper Zander Clark’s header for that incredible leveller against Rangers then broke the deadlock against St Mirren in the semi.
Kane is 10/3 with Paddy Power for anytime scorer and looks great value at 9/10 (McBookie) just to have a shot on target.

PUNTERS piled money on Kelty Hearts for the pyramid play-off final but they head into tomorrow’s second leg with just a 2-1 lead over Brechin City.
Despite that narrow win, Barry Ferguson’s men are just 2/5 with McBookie for a victory at Glebe Park.
There’s little value in that so backing goals looks the call as City will need to go on the attack. You have to go to over 3.5 goals to find any value at 11/10 with Paddy Power. McBookie offer the same odds on over 1.5 goals in the first half.
English Play-Offs
It’s also a big day down south in the play-offs for a Premier League slot.
Bournemouth and Swansea are defending 1-0 leads against Brentford and Barnsley respectively. Second legs are usually more open so I’m going for a BTTS double at 281/100 with SportNation.
Sunderland have to overturn a 2-0 deficit to Lincoln to avoid another year in League One. It should be an open game and over 2.5 goals is 21/17 at SBK.
