MOTHERWELL have just 90 minutes to stop their European dream from becoming a nightmare in Sligo tonight.
The Steelmen are up against it after crashing to a shock 1-0 defeat to Rovers at Fir Park last week in the Conference League qualifiers.
I thought Well might take a while to warm to their task against a team already up to speed in the Irish league.
But I opted for BTTS instead of backing Sligo in the handicaps and that backfired as Graham Alexander’s men drew a blank.
They need at least one goal tonight so it bodes well for an open game and I’m going for BTTS again at evens with William Hill.
Over 2.5 goals also stands a chance and that pays a decent 23/20 with McBookie.
If Well manage to turn things around they will face the winner of the clash between Sparta Prague and Viking Stavanger.
Sparta let me down last week when they drew a blank in a Czech Republic stalemate.
The bookies still fancy them to turn things around but I think the Norwegians are a great price to qualify one home soil at 8/5 with Paddy Power.
Dundee United will be hoping Dutch side AZ Alkmaar slip up in Bosnia against Tuzla City as they face the winners in the next round.
Alkmaar are defending just a 1-0 lead from the first leg but are McBookie’s 1/25 hot favourites to progress.
BTTS has failed to land in all three of Tuzla’s qualifiers so far so I’m betting against it tonight at evens with McBookie.
Super singles
- BTTS at Sligo (evs, William Hill)
- BTTS no in Bosnia (evs, McBookie)
McBookie star bet
- Combining over 2.5 goals in Sligo with Kevin van Veen to score pays 265/100
