Only two all-weather meetings go ahead on Wednesday after the recent cold snap and the evening fare comes from Kempton Park. They’ve got an eight-race card from 3.40pm-7.15pm including a quality stayers’ contest over two-miles at 6.15pm.
Watch all the Kempton action – as well Wolverhampton in the afternoon – via live streaming when logged into MansionBet as our tipster previews the offering from Surrey.
3.40 – Racing TV Classified Stakes Division 1 (1m)
Hollie Doyle can kick-start her evening with a win on board JEANETTE MAY in the opener. The mare was a dual turf winner over this trip back in the summer and has an excellent chance to register her first all-weather success on these terms. The lightly-raced Kyllishi shaped well over 7f here last month at a big price and is worth a look tackling a mile for the first time.
Selection: Jeanette May @ 10/3
4.10 – Racing TV Classified Stakes Division 2 (1m)
Plenty in the second division of this have questions over their ability currently; not so FUWAIRT who showed himself to be in good tune over C&D last month in a handicap on his first outing for this trainer. He’s won around here before and, in this grade, connections will fancy he can go well. Cristal Pallas Cat is far from prolific but he’s consistent and, with his sole AW win having come here, Rhiain Ingram’s charge is respected on the back of a solid run at Lingfield on Monday.
Selection: Fuwairt @ 7/2
4.40 – Unibet 3 Uniboosts A Day Handicap (6f)
A winner on handicap bow at Lingfield two starts ago, MAMMASAIDKNOCKUOUT essentially built on that effort with a close-up third back there last month having gone up 4lb in the ratings. The winner has won both starts since, while the fourth was also a next-time-out winner. Richard Hannon’s filly looks sure to progress again inched up 1lb by the assessor.
Selection: Mammasaidknockuout @ 11/2
5.10 – Unibet New Instant Roulette Handicap (7f)
Wolverhampton winner Nortonthorpe Boy was behind Mammasaidknockuout (runs previous race) at Lingfield in December and could go well despite a 6lb rise for that success since. Dubai Tigress was unfortunate over C&D three weeks ago and may have her turn soon, though she’s unfortunate to be up in the ratings without a win. BANOFFEE caught the eye behind Nortonthorpe Boy in fourth a week ago and, better off with that rival, may reverse the form for a breakthrough success.
Selection: Banoffee @ 6/1
5.45 – Unibet Extra Place Offers Every Day Novice Stakes (1m4f)
Tampere was narrowly denied last time in a 2m Chelmsofrd handicap and has to be shortlisted despite a drop in trip, while Great Esteem needs close monitoring in the betting having joined Archie Watson after showing promise in two 2019 starts for Charlie Appleby/Godolphin. There are also two solid hurdlers turning their attention to this code in Supakalanistic and DIAMOND GAIT. The former concedes a penalty and so Kim Bailey’s mare – a winner over sticks at Stratford in October – is tipped to get the job done under Luke Morris.
Selection: Diamond Gait @ 13/2
6.15 – Try Our New Super Boosts At Unibet Handicap (2m)
The makings of a good stayers’ contest here with Royal Ascot winner Who Dares Wins joining last-time-out C&D winner Rock Eagle in setting the standard. Preference however is for John Gosden’s AMTIYAZ, who gets on especially well with Hollie Doyle (2-4 together). The Frankel colt had his momentum checked at a crucial stage when attempting this C&D for the first time four weeks ago and, at the foot of the weights, appeals as having more to offer.
Selection: Amtiyaz @ 9/4
6.45 – Unibet 3 Uniboosts A Day Conditions Stakes (6f)
ABERAMA GOLD is on a roll after wins at Chelmsford and Lingfield most recently. He had Brian The Snail behind in second last month despite taking a while to hit full cry in the home straight. He may be up to completing his hat-trick. Gulliver and Tranchee are closely matched with the selection and rate as big dangers, the later having scored at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day meaning he should be fit and ready for battle again.
Selection: Aberama Gold @ 9/4
7.15 – Try Our New Price Boosts At Unibet Handicap (6f)
Having scored with plenty to spare on stable bow at Newcastle recently, Global Warning must be high on any shortlist carrying a 5lb penalty. He’s the one to beat. The consistent A Sure Welcome notched a deserved win at Lingfield before Christmas and is shortlisted once more while Soar Above loves it here and won from 6lb lower three weeks ago. EQUITATION wasn’t beaten far in a stronger race over C&D five weeks ago – form that could be enhanced in the previous contest – and from a sliding mark he may take his chance in this class-drop.
Selection: Equitation @ 4/1
