There’s another night of Premier League action this evening and there looks to be some decent bets on the Milton Keynes card.

Eliminated Duo Square Off
Glen Durrant and Rob Cross are the first to toe the oche and it’s a difficult match to weigh-up, given that they have both already been eliminated and can no longer qualify for phase two of the competition.
It’s tough to see Durrant struggling so badly and in his three matches this week Duzza has averaged just 79.54, 89.32 and 84.94. Those sort of numbers are likely to lead to another defeat and Cross has banged in 100.54, 99.95 and 90.52 in his three games.
However, that hasn’t been missed by the prices and at 4/13 Cross can be avoided.
Clayton Can Upset Dutchman
Jonny Clayton was the in-form man coming into the event, and although he has failed to win a match this week, he has run into some brilliant performances. The Ferret averaged 101.12 in a 7-3 defeat to Dimitri Van den Bergh, before drawing 6-6 with Nathan Aspinall averaging 99.50 and last night the Welshman managed 103.23 and incredibly was beaten 7-2 by James Wade.
Those figures suggest that Clayton’s form hasn’t dropped and the Welshman looks a decent 5/2 chance against Michael van Gerwen.
MVG scored brilliantly when beating Jose de Sousa 7-4 last night, but we have seen over the last 12 months that the Green Machine’s performances can fluctuate quite significantly and perhaps his chances are being overplayed a little by the prices.
Aspinall Seeking Successive Victories
Nathan Aspinall has experimented with new darts in recent months, but the Stockport man is now using his old set up and he seems to be back to somewhere near his best.
The Asp has lost just one match in the Premier League this season and he looked in fantastic nick when averaging 105.20 and beating Peter Wright 7-3 on Monday.
Gary Anderson is always capable of producing some excellent darts, but he hasn’t been at his best this week and it’s probably fair to say that Aspinall should be a little shorter than the current 27/20 on offer.
De Sousa Hoping to Hit the Right Notes
Jose de Sousa looked a little nervous in the opening nights of Premier League action, but the Special One has settled down nicely and he looks to hold strong claims against Peter Wright.
Snakebite continues to chop and change darts and on the evidence of this week he doesn’t seem to have found a winning formula.
It will be interesting to see what darts Wright uses this evening but with such a big unknown on the table this looks a match best left alone.
Table Topper Set for Test
Premier League leader Dimitri van den Bergh’s clash with James Wade is the final game of the night and it looks likely to be a cracker. Van den Bergh wasn’t at his best against Anderson last night but prior to that he had looked very good with back-to-back wins over Clayton and Cross.
However, Wade was simply superb when averaging 105.29 against the Ferret last night, a performance all the more remarkable given that the Machine has clearly been limping through this week’s action.
