There are some mouth-watering Serie A fixtures to look forward to this Sunday, with four of Italy’s powerhouses set to face each other in key games.
Inter Milan are two from two and Antonio Conte’s men are starting to look like real title contenders, as they seek their first Scudetto in 10 years.
Inter, who have scored nine goals in two games, head to the capital this weekend to face a Lazio team that have recorded one win and one defeat so far.
A win for the visitors would be a big statement of intent and the Nerazzurri can be backed at 11/10 to collect the three points.
Romelu Lukaku has already got three goals to his name and the former Chelsea and Manchester United striker is 7/2 to score first in Sunday’s clash at the Stadio Olimpico.
Juve Still the Team to Beat?
The other standout fixture in Italy’s top flight this weekend takes place in Turin, where defending champions Juventus play host to Napoli on Sunday evening.
Four points from their first two games and some questionable transfer activity in the close season, has had some people questioning whether Juve are still the team they have been in recent seasons.
In comparison, Napoli have come out of the traps quickly and look keen to show they have improved after last season’s seventh-placed finish. Gennaro Gattuso has led his side to two victories in their first two games, keeping clean sheets against both Parma and Genoa.
It certainly looks worth considering the Napoli Double-Chance option at 5/6 while Under 2.5 goals, available to back at 20/23, looks worthy of consideration.
No Unlikely Hat-Trick in Bergamo
Italy’s in-form team is currently Atalanta, who are another team with a 100 per cent record after away wins at both Torino and Lazio.
The Champions League outfit play host to Cagliari, who have won on their last to visits to Bergamo but are 9/1 to make it three in a row. Atalanta are 20/83 to secure another victory and look too strong for their opponents.
Gian Piero Gasperini has seen his men score eight goals in their first two matches, with Alejandro Gomez already on the scoresheet three times. The Argentinian is 13/10 to score at anytime on Sunday.
Verona Can Maintain Perfect Start
The fourth Serie A selection involves the surprise package of the season so far, as Verona look to make it three wins from three when they travel to Parma.
After a mid-table finish last term, Verona have started with not just victories over Roma and Udinese, but two clean sheets as well.
In stark contrast, if you take into account the end of last season, Parma have won just three of their last 13 games and have started 2020-21 with back-to-back defeats.
Verona are 7/4 to collect three points on the road and the visitors to win to nil can be backed at 57/20.
