EVERYTHING went to plan in Brasil for yesterday’s main bets and I’ll be jetting 900 miles due west and touching down in the Paraguayan capital of Asuncion for another shot of South American goal action…
SOL DE AMÉRICA VS. LIBERTAD
(10.00pm)
SDA’s games have long been one of the star attractions (for me at least) of following The Paraguayan ‘Division Profesional’ – they don’t always come away with the points, but there is more often than not plenty of action!
Their 3 games thus far include a 2-1 league win, a 4-1 Cup victory and another league match which saw them take a share of the spoils as part of a 2-2 scoreline – that’s 12 match goals in 3 with an average of 4 per game at this early stage.
Libertad invariably finish each campaign at a higher ranking than SDA and have started this Clausara Section with two domestic league wins and a Copa Libertadores defeat to Brazilian side Gremio.
That 100% start to the campaign may only have seen narrow 1-0 wins over Guarani and Luqeno respectively but it was precluded by a monster 2-8 cup win away to San Antonio which shows Libertad’s attacking potential albeit against lesser opposition!
Historical H2H’s have always been pretty lively affairs with goals totals of 4-2-4-2-6-3-3-3-3-1-0-6-3-3 in their most recent 14 consecutive games across a 3 and a half year period; that equates to over 71% of games getting the green light for ‘overs’ and just shy of 30% getting the nod for ‘4 or more’.
I can see both sides ending up on the scoresheet here and would be surprised if it’s a sterile game devoid of action!
Recommended bets
- Over 2.5 match goals
(1/1, bet365) NAP
- Over 3.5 match goals
(5/2, bet365) NB
