BOLIVIAN football is back with a bang and I’m heading to capital city La Paz on the search for goals…it’s one of my favourite stomping grounds and if you can get your head around it’s quirks and penchant for red cards, it’s a cracking league to follow!
BOLÍVAR VS. ALWAYS READY
(8.00pm)
Bolivar’s Estadio Hernando Siles stadium has been host to some absolutely insane scorelines but I suspect this will be a much tighter affair and I’m taking a different angle on the goals-front.
Always Ready have shown they are no mugs and have fought their corner well over the last few months; the fact that they have kept the scorelines so low within their 3 most recent meetings with Bolivar speaks volumes and the scorelines of 0-1 (loss), 1-1 (draw) and 2-1 (loss) is a fair reflection of their resilience.
Bolivar have always scored the bigger weighting of goals in the latter part of their matches and so far this season, a massive 70% of their goals have landed in the 2nd half – a closer look at those H2H scorelines mentioned above also indicates late goals may be the way to go.
Of the 6 goals across those 3 meetings, only one solitary goal came in the first 45 minutes of play – some statistic and enough to edge me further towards my selections and away from a large total match goal style bet.
Recommended Bets
- Highest scoring half = 2nd half
(10/11, bet365) NAP ⭐⭐⭐
- Both teams to score 2nd half
(6/4, bet365) NB ⭐⭐
Also like the look of goals in this one hailing from the Jamaica Premier…
TIVOLI GARDENS VS. WATERHOUSE
(8.00pm)
Waterhouse ought to smash Tivoli here and I can’t help but think that prices are a little too tempting to ignore!
Tivoli are struggling and Waterhouse are in fine fettle – throw in s healthy H2H history and it could be a case of Gold Stripe rather than Red Stripe!
Recommended Bet
- Over 3.5 goals
(2/1, bet365) Longshot ⭐
